UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 2 — Over May 1, the Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 13 times in the Kharkiv and Kupiansk axes, reported the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Over the past month, Russia started to advance on Ukrainian territories more intensively; they occupied 175 square kilometers, said the analytical OSINT project DeepState.

On May 1, Russians attacked 8 times on the Kharkiv axis near the Vovchansk, Kamianka, Topoli, Novovasylivka, and Lyptsi settlements.

In the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian forces recorded five combat clashes near Novoosynove, Hlushkivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Zahryzove villages.

On May 1, Russia also launched three aerial guided bombs, four Shahed drones, and two Molniya drones on towns and settlements of Kharkiv Oblast, killing one person and injuring another, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region.
