UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, Oct 30 — General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports 22 combat clashes happening in Kupiansk direction in their morning briefing. Ukrainian army fought off Russian attacks near Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Novoosynove, Berestove, Bohuslavka, and Lozova.

Russian army’s efforts on the Kupiansk axis aim to capture the remainder of partially occupied Luhansk Oblast and re-occupy Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in Kharkiv Oblast, the important logistics and supply hub for the region.

In the Kharkiv direction, General Staff writes, the Russian military attacked four times near Lypsi and Vovchansk.

Russia intensified attacks on the Kupiansk axis in the summer of 2024. The regional government announced a mandatory evacuation from the communities nearby.

Currently, according to Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv Oblast governor, almost 9,000 people still need evacuation as constant Russian attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure complicate the process.
