Overall, 13 armored vehicles that can be used as ambulances have to be delivered to the frontline. They’ll protect medics and patients from explosions
Four armored ambulances for medics were delivered to the frontline. The funds to procure them were gathered via crowdfunding, organized by UNITED24. The Minister of Digital Transformation, Myhailo Fedorov, reported on this.
“Overall, we procured 13 armored cars from Canadian partners, and 11 of them are already in Ukraine. Medics will be able to evacuate the injured from the frontline more safely,” the Minister says.
These “ambulances” will help medics to evacuate injured people from the frontline to the closest medical facility; they have real armor. They are also compliant with NATO ballistic standards and can protect from kinetic arms, artillery shells shrapnel, self-made explosive devices, etc.

Also, armored vehicles have special tires that can move even if they are deflated: in case the pressure is lost, the speed varies from 50 to 150 kilometers per hour. That makes it possible to continue driving even if the shrapnel pierces it.
The “ambulances” were manufactured and customized in Canada.
