UKRAINE, Nov 22 – The Czech Republic will provide Ukraine with 500,000 large-caliber shells by the end of this year as part of its initiative to purchase ammunition, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský said, Radio Svoboda reports.
The Czech Republic has provided Ukraine with military aid worth about €400 million since the beginning of the Russian full-scale war.
Jan Lipavský said that the Czech Republic will keep providing military, financial, humanitarian, political and diplomatic support to Ukraine.
On November 11, Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell said in an interview with the Ukrainian media European Pravda that, by the end of 2024, Ukraine will receive 1.5 million shells from the European Union member states. He said that Ukraine has been supplied with 980,000 shells so far, and another million will be delivered “very soon.”
