UKRAINE, Feb 26 — On the night of February 26, Ukrainian Air Defence Forces shot down three Kh-59 cruise missiles and nine Shahed kamikaze drones in the Kharkiv and Dnipro Oblasts.
The press service of the Ukrainian Air Forces reported this on Telegram.
“Last night, mobile firing groups of the Kharkiv Oblast destroyed three occupants’ unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that targeted the Chuhuiv district,” said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
The press service noted that at night, the Russian military launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea and two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Belgorod Oblast of Russia.
They also launched three Kh-59 cruise missiles, a Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and 14 Shahed attack drones from the Kursk Oblast of Russia.
Several hundred mobile air defense groups manned in the Kharkiv Oblast shot down Shahed drones. The reinforcement of the groups is underway, said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, during a conversation with journalists.
