Some respondents support the idea of an election despite the war and believe that the election should be held remotely.
81% of Ukrainians believe that the elections must be held after the war and, right now, it’s not the time to organize them. 16% want the election despite the war. These are the survey results conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
In particular, many Ukrainians negatively responded to the idea of remote voting via the Internet and were worried about the risks of election fraud. As of October 2023, 65% of Ukrainians are against this decision [remote online voting, — ed.], and 29% support it.
A note: 78% of Ukrainians believe that Volodymyr Zelenskyi is responsible for handling corruption in government and military administration. Also, 80% of people think that Ukrainian officials won’t agree to unacceptable compromises that aren’t aligned with the country’s interests.
