UKRAINE, Apr. 21 — An English singer, Dua Lipa, with the help of her media platform Service95, raised money for a car for the 1st Separate Medical Unit, said the press service of the unit.

“The probability that Dua Lipa would help to raise funds for a vehicle for our unit won’t be high… but it won’t be zero, too,” said the unit.

In addition to Service95, the organization Driving Ukraine also helped with the fundraising effort. To raise funds, they organized a charity event.

Purchased vehicles will help medics carry out life-saving missions in the combat zone in Ukraine.

The 1st Separate Medical Battalion was formed by expanding the medical service of the 1st International Legion. The battalion provided medical support during the 2022 Kharkiv counteroffensive.

The battalion is a pilot project for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, implementing the latest approaches to treating the injured soldiers on the battlefield.
