UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jul. 8 — A Russian kamikaze drone directly hit and killed a 79-year-old man in Staryi Saltiv settlement in the Chuhuiv district, east of the Kharkiv oblast, reported the Kharkiv regional police.

Another Russian attack damaged a gas station in the same settlement, said the police.

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 12 settlements in the region with two missiles, seven glide bombs, and 37 drones of different types, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region.

Also in the Chuhuiv district, Russian attacks on Shyroke village injured two civilians and damaged houses, outbuildings, and cars.

Russians also attacked Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi, Kholodnohirskyi, Nemyshlianskyi, and Saltivskyi districts, injuring 31 people, including six children.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city,  four Russian glide bombs killed a man and injured more than 20 people. The attack damaged the road, a gas station, an educational institution, an administrative building, business territory, a medical institution, houses, and cars.

In the Bohodukhiv district, Russian attacks damaged houses, outbuildings, and a guesthouse. The attacks also injured a man and damaged a farm in the Zolochiv settlement.

Russian forces attacked Izium east of the Kharkiv oblast three times over the past day, damaging over 50 houses and 13 cars, said Serhii Fedchenko, the head of the Izium Military Administration. In the Izium district, the attacks damaged railway infrastructure and power grids.

Also, Russians damaged houses, a car, a truck, and a restaurant across the Kharkiv oblast.
