UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, May 5 — Over the past day, Russian troops launched airstrikes at Kharkiv and 15 settlements across the region, killing nine people and injuring at least 40, reported the governor of Kharkiv oblast, Oleh Syniehubov. 

He reports that the Russian missile attack on Merefa killed three women and four men, and injured 31 people, in particular boys of 2, 16, and 17 years old. 

For airstrikes, Syneihubov reports, Russia used six missiles, two glide bombs, 17 Geran-2 drones, one Lancet drone, nine Molniya drones, three first-person view (FPV) drones, and 27 drones of unidentified type. 

In Bezliudivka of Kharkiv district, Russian shelling caused an acute stress reaction in women aged 42 and 69, and a man aged 69. 

A Russian attack on the Peresichne village of Solonitsivka hromada injured a 41-year-old woman. In Svitlychne of Zolochiv hromada, Russian strikes injured a 55-year-old man, and, in Ivanivka of Chuhuiiv hromada, attacks injured a 75-year-old woman. 

Russian airstrikes on Andriivka in the Donetske hromada killed a 47-year-old man — and injured men, 41 and 53.  Also, attacks on Zakharivka in Vovchansk hromada killed a 70-year-old. 

Also, a 43-year-old man asked for medical help to treat injuries he got after the Russian attack on Slatyne in Derhachi hromada on May 1. 

In Kharkiv, Russians attacked Industrialnyi, Kholodnohirskyi, Saltivskyi, and Osnovianskyi district of Kharkiv, damaging a civilian business, glass windows and a roof of a one-story apartment building and car. Civilian infrastructure has also been damaged across the region, in Izium, Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Bohodukhiv districts.
