KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar 7 — At 10 a.m., the Russian military shelled the border town of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv Oblast with a guided aerial bomb.

The shelling killed a 40-year-old woman and injured a 67-year-old woman, reported the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

“A 40-year-old civilian woman died as a result of a hit in a private house. A 67-year-old woman sustained minor injuries, she was not hospitalized,” he said.

The shelling damaged at least 12 private residential buildings. Firefighters put out the fire caused by the attack.

The regional police noted that the Russian army hit the private sector in the city with three KABs [a 500-kilogram general-purpose aerial bomb with a high-explosive warhead developed in the Soviet Union — ed.]

About 22 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar fire over the past day, including Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Ambarne, Zapadne, Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Kotliarivka. The Russians hit the towns of Zarichne, Nesterne, Krasnyi Yar, Chorne, Kozacha Lopan, and Tabaivka with airstrikes.
