UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug. 26 — Russia loses nearly 125-150 troops per day in Kharkiv oblast, said Viktor Trehubov, the press officer of the military grouping responsible for Kharkiv region, east of Sumy oblast, and Lyman direction, to Gwara Media journalist. 

Trehubov added that, in the area their grouping covers, Russian troops are conducting about 25-40 assaults per day, with their overall losses amounting to 250-300 soldiers per day; losses in Kharkiv oblast, according to his estimate, amount to about half that number.

Ukraine’s defence forces “have local successes” in the area, but the military is careful about reporting on the advancement. Part of those “successes,” Trehubov adds, can be seen in DeepState report from Aug. 25, about Khartiia, one of Ukrainian brigades, liberating 7,5 square kilometers in Kupiansk direction. 

Trehubov said that while the Defense Forces can conduct “limited counteroffensive operations,” the main priority is preserving the lives of Ukrainian troops and the combat capacity of military units.
