On the morning of October 6, the Russian army launched Iskander missiles at Kharkiv. The shelling destroyed a three-story building in the city center, killing a 10-year-old boy. His parents and 11-month-old brother were hospitalised with injuries. Currently, 25 people are known to be wounded. The head of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office, Oleksandr Filchakov, said to Gwara Media.

“At the moment, we have 25 wounded and, unfortunately, one child was killed. She was 10 years old. They [Russians – ed.] declare that Iskander is a highly accurate missile. Of course, they intentionally hit these targets. Civilians live in the house that was hit by the missile,” Filchakov said.

Rescuers and police continue to work. A few minutes ago, the body of a dead man was taken out of the house, Gwara Media correspondents reported.

As of 11:37 a.m., 15 people were injured in Osnovianskyy district due to a Russian Iskander missile strike, eight of them hospitalised, including an 11-month-old child. A 10-year-old child was killed. The search for bodies under the rubble continues. A woman may have been found dead under the rubble on the 3rd floor, said Yevhen Vasylenko, a spokesman for the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv region.

“We have now received 17 families who need a place to stay. We will accommodate them in hotels. People can continue to apply for help; we will provide them with everything they need. We want people to be more or less in normal conditions,” Terekhov said.
