Farmers in Kharkiv Oblast have already gathered 1 million 318 thousand tons of grain.

They’re harvesting barley, peas, winter rye, oats, buckwheat, and millet. Harvesting of industrial sunflowers and soybeans has started as well. The Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration informed about this.

“Agricultural enterprises in Krasnohrad, Lozova, and Bohodukhiv districts have almost completed harvesting fall grains. Some have already begun harvesting late-season crops,” said Yevhen Ivanov, deputy head of the KOMA.

The Bohoduhiv district harvested the most: 190 thousand tons of grain have been threshed there. Moreover, farms in the region are already preparing to sow winter crops for the harvest of 2024.

We’ll note that the general export from Ukraine dropped by 8% compared to the same period in 2022. On the other hand, exports of agricultural products, particularly grains, increased.
