UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, July 24 — The situation in the Kharkiv direction is complicated and tense. Russian troops intensified their assaults near Hlyboke, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.

Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)

The “Kharkiv” group of forces reported that the Russians are also relocating their assault groups in Vovchansk, replenishing ammunition, and conducting aerial reconnaissance.

Over the past day, the Russian army conducted 26 air strikes against Ukrainian positions, using 50 glide bombs (KABs). They targeted Vesele, Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Ruska Lozova, and Pytomnyk.

In total, Russia conducted 32 strikes with kamikaze drones and fired 479 times at the positions of the Ukrainian army.

The “Kharkiv” group of forces assures that although the situation is difficult, the Defense Forces continue to resist Russia.
