UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr 11 — In April, Russian army intensified strikes from aviation on the Kharkiv axis, an area to the north of the city, on the border with Russia. Russian troops dropped 35 guided bombs in five days, reported the speaker of the “Kharkiv” group of forces, Pavlo Shamshyn, during a national telethon.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi suggested that the Russian spring offensive in Kharkiv and Sumy regions have already begun.
In Shamshyn’s words, the number of strikes in the Kharkiv direction is significantly higher compared to February and March this year.
Russians dropped guided bombs near the Kozacha Lopan and Udy, settlements in the north of Kharkiv Oblast, over the past day. They also tried to push the Ukrainian army from away Vovchansk; there were four attempts of assaults in one day, Shamshyn said.
