Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported during the United News telethon that the residents reduced electricity consumption by 20%, which allows the city to avoid energy cuts.
“Thanks to the strict economy that we maintain today, we are proceeding steadily and without any outages so far. I want to thank again all the Kharkiv residents for their understanding and for their striving for stability. And to have stability we need to save because times are difficult,” said Terekhov.
According to Terekhov, Kharkiv residents have followed his request to save electricity so the city can avoid energy outages.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian national electricity provider “Ukrenergo” introduced energy restriction schedules for industrial and other categories of consumers in all Ukrainian oblasts.
“The restrictions on electricity consumption are a fully controlled measure that allows reducing the load on the power grid and makes it possible to balance the operation of the power system,” explains Ukrenergo on Telegram.
