The winner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest Kalush Orchestra became an ambassador of the project Save Ukrainian Culture.
This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
“We are doing our best to show the whole world that our culture exists! It is alive! It exists! Now they (Russians) are trying to destroy it. Therefore, we are pleased to join the project Save Ukrainian Culture and urge each of you to spread the word and donate to the reconstruction of destroyed buildings and monuments. Let’s preserve our culture together and restore what was destroyed by the enemy. Together to victory!” – the leader of the Kalush Orchestra, Oleg Psyuk said.
Save Ukrainian Culture is a joint project of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and Vodafone Ukraine aimed at raising charitable funds for the restoration and preservation of cultural heritage in Ukraine, which has suffered as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
Recall that the first contributor to the memorial house was Ukrainian musician Sviatoslav Vakarchuk. He donated to the restoration of the Skovoroda Museum in Kharkiv Oblast.
