KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan 26 — The Russian army hit the village of Komisarove in the Kharkiv region with airstrikes.

The Russian military attempted to advance in the direction of Kupiansk near Synkivka and Tabaivka six times over the past day. The General Staff informed about this in the morning report.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous areas and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

Russian troops captured the village of Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv Oblast. The village is located 26 kilometers from Kupiansk and not far from the village of Tabaivka, which was the main target of the Russian attack on January 19. The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the capture of the village by Russians, the Institute for the Study of War reported the news, citing geolocation images on the morning of January 20.
