KHARKIV OBLAST, JAN 22 — A 73-year-old man died in Pishchane village on January 21 as a result of Russian shelling, and a 74-year-old woman was wounded in Vilkhuvatka village during the shelling by the FABs [500-kilogram general-purpose aircraft bomb with an explosive warhead developed in the Soviet Union — ed.] She was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

More than 20 settlements in the region came under artillery and mortar fire. Vovchansk, Budarky, Mykolaivka, Ivanivka, Pishchane, etc. were among them. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the attacks.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military repelled seven Russian attacks near Synkivka in the Kupiansk district.
