KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb 29 — The Russian military shelled about 20 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast with artillery and mortars over the past day.

The Russians hit at least six cities and villages with airstrikes. Their shelling killed four people and injured six. 

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported this on Telegram.

On February 28, at around 4:50 p.m., the Russians dropped bombs on the railway station in Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk district. The shelling killed a six-year-old girl and a 48-year-old man. The girl’s mother received severe injuries. She is in the hospital.

At 1:40 p.m., the Russian military dropped aerial bombs on Kupiansk, destroying a church and a residential building. The attack also damaged a cafe and 16 residential buildings. The Russians killed a 58-year-old pastor of the church and a 39-year-old man. They also injured five people — three women and two men.

In addition, the Russian army shelled Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district, at least five times over the past day, damaging a pharmacy and residential buildings.
