Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi spoke about some solutions to strengthen the defense of Kupiansk. The Defense Forces Media Center reported.

“The enemy is trying to break through the defense of our troops with assault units, staffed mainly by prisoners, every day, in different directions, to block and then capturing Kupyansk,” Syrskyi said.

The commander spent part of the day in the units that are defending the outskirts of Kupyansk. As a result of working with commanders in this area, several important decisions were made to ensure the reliability of defense.

Since Russian troops are regrouping in the Lyman area, the task of Ukrainian defenders is to “make the most of this situation and significantly improve their position. We worked out the necessary decisions with our commanders directly in the combat zone,” added Syrskyi.
