UKRAINE, IZIUM, Jul. 24 — In the early morning, Russian forces attacked Izium, a city east of the Kharkiv oblast, with three glide bombs. No casualties were reported, the Izium military administration said.

Russian bombs hit a building of the Nova Poshta, a Ukrainian postal operator, a storage building, and an open area. The attack damaged power networks, leaving a part of the city without power.

The Nova Poshta press service said employees are still cleaning up the damage and figuring out the exact amount of cargo destroyed or damaged. The postal operator is now using reserve logistics routes and sorting hubs to minimize mail delivery delays.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Nova Poshta’s departments and logistics centers have been frequently targeted by  the Russian forces. According to the company, the cost of restoring their damaged properties has exceeded 2.1 billion hryvnia (nearly $48 millions).

 On Jul. 19, Russian forces launched three missiles at the Nova Poshta’s postal center in Korotych, Kharkiv oblast, killing 5 and injuring 20 people.
