Children’s drawings created in the Kharkiv metro are exhibited in the cities of Lithuania as part of the “Diaries from Shelter” project.
This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania.
The drawings were created in the Aza Nizi Maza art studio, which moved to one of the Kharkiv metro stations after Feb. 24. The teachers of the art studio continued to work and help children to stay balanced through art.
In Lithuania, the project was implemented by the JCDecaux Lietuva advertising agency. The team learned about the drawings from the creative director of the Boomerang agency, Iryna Hrytska.
Iryna said that it would be very symbolic if that works were seen by people who were not hiding underground, but just walking around the city.
“This is how this initiative was born, which is a reminder not to forget about the people of Ukraine and their courageous struggle for freedom. At the same time, this project is feedback for children who do not lose the incentive to create and talk about the wonderful people of their country. In whatever difficult conditions the creative path of these young people began, I hope that soon, the world will hear about them as talented artists,” said Zhaneta Fomova, head of the JCDecaux Lietuva agency.
Today, the original children’s works can be seen in the Kharkiv metro.
Earlier, the artworks by children from Aza Nizi Maza Kharkiv art studio created while hiding at the underground stations in the first days of the full-scale war were exhibited in Paris.
