On March 1, Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on the current economic situation in the city and oblast.

  • The sowing campaign will start soon. Due to hostilities and large-scale mining, the authorities expect to sow 40% of the acreage.
  • “We are conducting negotiations with a large business. Entrepreneurs are determined to resume production in Kharkiv Oblast if the security situation allows. Together with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, we are developing a plan of measures to promote business. They should return to the liberated territories of Kharkiv Oblast to provide jobs there.”
  • Preparations for reconstruction in the liberated territories are underway. “We are developing a comprehensive project for the housing restoration in Izium. This project involves the reconstruction of several residential buildings, a boiler house, a hospital, a school, and other infrastructure facilities in the city.”
