KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, Mar 5 — The Russian army conducted 11 attacks on the Kupiansk axis near Synkivka and Tabaivka of Kharkiv Oblast, reports General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their morning briefing. Russians tried to improve their tactical conditions in this section of the frontline but failed.
Russian troops also hit Varvarivka, Nesterne, Kolodiazne, Kyslivka, Mytrofanivka, and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region with airstrikes.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russians maintain a military presence in the borderlands, conduct diversions, and increase the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.
In the Institute for the Study of War’s report from March 2, experts reported that Russian activity in the Kupiansk direction might signify a preparation for the larger offensive operation Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line. Apart from continuing positional fighting on the axis, Russian military have been targeting the crossing along the Oskil River, trying to disrupt the Ukrainian troops’ supply.
