Nine combat clashes occurred in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction during the past day. The Ukrainian military destroyed two tanks and eight armored vehicles.

Volodymyr Fito, the head of the Ukrainian Ground Forces PR service, talked about this in a telemarathon ether. 

“The adversary was readying [themselves] for an offensive for three months. In October, they’ve started it. We’ve been observing and seeing all of this, preparing, strengthening our positions, gathering reserves, [improving] our defense,” he said. 

The Russian troops shelled the area 703 times and launched 13 airstrikes, engaging fighter jets and helicopters for fire support [of their operations]. They also used kamikaze drones nine times.

According to Fito, during the day, the Ukrainian forces killed 112 Russian soldiers and destroyed 48 units of military equipment.
