Ukrainian book portal Book-On-Demand.com.ua cooperate with German bookstore chain Hugendubel to appear the literature of eight Ukrainian publishers on European shelves.

Hugendubel is a book supermarket chain with a 130-year history, one of the largest in Europe. It has more than 100 stores in Germany and German-speaking countries/

Ukrainian-language books of publishing houses were added to the catalogue of Hugendubel: A-BA-BA-GA-LA-MA-GA, ArtEk, Veselka, Staryi Lev Publishing House, Kartush, Lybid, Art, Folio, Ministry of Culture reported.

Book-On-Demand.com.ua, in addition to Ukrainian-language books, plans to supply German-language editions of Ukrainian authors, as well as to agree with Ukrainian writers on literary events in German bookstores, traditional for the Hugendubel chain – book presentations, authors’ speeches, lectures, etc.

Hugendubel will sell Ukrainian books not only on the shelves of their stores but also to the networks of libraries with which they actively cooperate, as well as to the places where Ukrainians need them most – kindergartens, schools, centers for assistance to IDPs.

Meanwhile Ukrainian voices at the book fair Frankfurter Buchmesse 2022 will be heard on several stages. This year’s Ukrainian program will not offer entertainment topics, but in addition to discussions about the current situation, the organizers will introduce visitors to Ukrainian culture, book design and book art.
