RUSSIA, TUMEN OBLAST, Aug. 10 — Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with the insurgent movement on Russian territory called Black Spark, attacked the ZapSibNeftekhim in the Tumen oblast in Russia, said the press service of the Special Operations Forces.

ZapSibNeftekhim is Russia’s largest petrochemical complex, located in Tobolsk city, more than 2,200 kilometers (~1,370 miles) from the border with Ukraine. The plant belongs to the oil, gas, and chemical company Sibur.

According to the Militarnyi, the Ukrainian defense military outlet, Sibur’s parent company had contracts to supply raw materials to companies of the Russian defense-industrial complex. One of these was the Kamensk Plant, which produces solid rocket fuel, solid-fuel propellant charges, and rocket engines used in artillery.

Journalists also reported on the supply of materials to the Perm Powder Plant, which produces charges for Russian artillery, air defense systems, air-launched and cruise missiles, and rifles. Other explosives manufacturers also received the company’s products.
