UKRAINE, Oct 23 — Russian aggression has affected more than 2,230 children in Ukraine. In total, 581 children were killed, reported the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, citing official information from juvenile prosecutors.

The Kharkiv Oblast is the second among Ukrainian regions in terms of the number of children affected by the war. The Russian army affected 453 children in the region. In the Donetsk region, the war affected 595 children, 80 in the Kherson region, 178 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 133 in the Kyiv region, and 145 children in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The press service also reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 1,649 children have been injured by Russian aggression.

On the evening of October 20, around 10:00 p.m., Russian troops launched airstrikes on the city of Kharkiv, injuring at least 13, including a child and a pregnant woman. The strikes cut off power to part of the city.
