UKRAINE, May 13, — Today, Russia has launched a massive combined attack at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, reported the Main Intelligence Agency of Ukraine, also known as HUR.

As of 8 a.m., Ukraine has downed 111 Russian kamikaze drones of different types. At the same time, 20 drones hit 13 locations across Ukraine, the Air Forces of Ukraine reported.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, warned that over 100 drones are still in Ukraine’s airspace. He also added that Russia could launch more drones during the day.

HUR explains that Russia is using kamikaze drones in its first wave of the attack on Ukraine to overwhelm Ukrainian air defense and hit civilian infrastructure.

Russia then plans to launch a number of cruise and ballistic missiles at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, including energy facilities, military-industrial sites, and administrative buildings in major Ukrainian cities.

“In this way, Russia, which has rejected Ukraine’s ceasefire proposals, is attempting to undermine Ukraine’s resilience in its war for freedom,” the HUR said.
