On the night of 22 to 23 April, several explosions happened in Kharkiv. An air raid alert was declared in the city and the region.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv and Kharkiv district were attacked by the occupiers. Preliminarily, the enemy fired with S-300 missiles. He later added that at least 5 hits were recorded in the city and region.

“Unfortunately, one of the enemy missiles hit a private sector at Kotlyary village, Kharkiv district. Rescuers and emergency medical aid are working at the scene. Details are being established. A civilian infrastructure facility has been hit in Kharkiv, and rescuers are extinguishing a large-scale fire,” said Oleh Syniehubov.

Kharkiv is also under fire, according to the mayor Igor Terekhov. He noted that a fire broke out at a civilian infrastructure facility in the Novobavarskyy district due to missile fire.

“We also recorded attacks on Slobidskyy and Osnovianskyy districts. In both cases, civilian objects were under fire. The information about the victims is currently being clarified,” the mayor added.
