Seven hundred twelve educational institutions were damaged or destroyed due to rocket, artillery strikes, and Multiple Launch Rocket System attacks in Kharkiv Oblast.
Serhii Chaban, acting head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast, announced this during a briefing.
In general, there are 1,604 educational institutions in the region, among them:
- 640 — damaged,
- 72 – destroyed.
As of January 2023, there were 29 settlements in the territory of the Kharkiv Oblast under temporary occupation, and three more villages are in the gray zone. These places are located in the eastern part of the Kupiansk district in the Dvorichna community. Before the full-scale war, 13 educational institutions worked there.
