UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr 25 — The Russian troops renewed the offensive on Vovchansk city and regrouped in Kupiansk and Lyman directions after the end of the so-called Easter ceasefire declared by Moscow, said Viktor Trehubov, the speaker of the “Khortytsia” operational-strategic group of forces.

On April 21, Trehubov told Gwara Media that “no one (from our military — ed.) counted on anything; we’ve seen these “ceasefires” many times (since 2014).”

Earlier, Denys Yaroslavskyi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces intelligence unit, said that Russia is planning to retake Vovchansk city by May 9.

Currently, according to the military, the Russian forces have renewed the offensive on Vovchansk and Vovchanski Khutory, the nearest village.

“Where they (Russians) originally had worse logistics than, for example, in Toretsk, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk directions, which are close to big cities, they used a ceasefire to improve their connecting routes,” said Trehubov.

On the morning of April 25, Russia launched “Shahed”-type drones on Kharkiv, hitting four buildings of a restaurant complex and setting on fire a building of private businesses.
