Day 495 of the Russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun. The adversary continued to shell Kharkiv Oblast with mortars, artillery, and air strikes.

Current situation in Ukraine

  • Russian occupants launched missile and air strikes using 12 cruise and anti-aircraft guided missiles and 8 Shahed attack UAVs against civilian infrastructure. Air defense forces hit 3 cruise missiles and 8 attack UAVs.
  • In addition, within the last day, the enemy carried out 57 air strikes and fired 60 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
  • The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
  • The adversary continues to focus its primary efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka axes, with more than 39 combat engagements occurring on July 2.

Slobozhanshchyna axis

The adversary maintains military presence in this area. It conducted an air strike near Pletenivka, Kharkiv region. The Russians conducted mortar and artillery attacks on Kozacha Lopan and Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast.

Kupiansk axis

Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in the Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire in the Kupyansk sector.

Kharkiv RMA

The adversary fired artillery, mortars and aircraft at the settlements of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium districts yesterday.

Udy, Pylna, Vovchansk, Budarky, Balakliia, and other localities were under attack by the Russian occupiers.

According to the updated data, a 65-year-old woman was wounded and hospitalized due to shelling of Balakliia, Izium district, with cluster munitions. Doctors assessed her condition as moderate.

Later, a 73-year-old woman with a shrapnel wound was treated as an outpatient. In the town, 4 residential buildings, 1 outbuilding, a power line and a railway track were damaged.

In Bohodarove village, Izium district, a tractor hit a mine while conducting field work. There were no casualties.

Mine clearance

Mine clearance works are ongoing. State Emergency Service pyrotechnics defused 29 explosives.
