Day 499 of the Russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun. The adversary continues to shell Kharkiv Oblast with mortars, artillery, and air strikes.

Current situation in Ukraine

  • Russian army launched another air strike on Ukraine, using Iranian Shahed combat UAVs.
  • According to the updated information, during July 6, Russia conducted missile strikes against Ukraine, using 11x Kalibr cruise missiles. Anti-aircraft missile units and aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 7x missiles. Moreover, 3x Kalibr missiles hit Lviv and 1x missile hit a private house in Cherkasy oblast. The terrorist attack on Lviv killed 7x civilians, causing injuries of various severity to more than 35x people. Over 35x houses, more than 250x flats, 10x dormitories, 1x orphanage, 2x higher education institutions, and other civilian infrastructure targets were damaged or destroyed.
  • In addition, the enemy launched 57x air strikes, 4x of which used Iranian Shahed combat UAVs. The Ukrainian air defence intercepted all 4x kamikaze drones. The occupant forces also launched 67x MLRS attacks. In particular, the Russian army shelled settlements in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.
  • The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
  • The occupants continue to focus their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, with 30 combat engagements taking place over the last day.

The adversary launched an air strike near Hatyshche in Kharkiv Oblast. During July 6, Russian troops fired mortars and artillery at Cherneshchyna, Odnorobivka and Hoptivka in the region.

Kupiansk axis

In the region, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, and Kyslivka came under artillery and mortar fire from the adversary.

Kharkiv RMA

During the day, the invaders fired mortars and artillery at the border settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Izyum, and Kupyansk districts.

  • At about 11 o’clock, the village of Odnorobivka in Bohodukhiv district was shelled. The shelling caused a fire in the building of the railway station. There were no casualties.
  • A house was burning at Cherneshchyna village of Izium district due to shelling. A 71-year-old woman was wounded and hospitalized.
  • A shelling took place at Petropavlivka village at 12:20, the roof of a house was burning. Preliminary, 4 private residential buildings were destroyed and 6 were damaged. There were no injuries and no dead.
  • A 15-year-old boy with other children found gunpowder in a bag near the river and threw it into a fire, which caused a fire, and the victim was hospitalized and suffered burns.
  • A road service vehicle (grader) exploded on an unknown explosive device in Pechenihy, Chuhuiv district. The injured driver, a 53-year-old man, was also hospitalized with injuries.
