KHARKIV OBLAST, DEC 22 — A grant project from the International Organization for Migration will be launched in Kharkiv Oblast to support agricultural households harmed by the Russian full-scale invasion and war, reports the Kharkiv regional military administration’s press service.

The program aims to help restore agricultural production and reduce its dependence on humanitarian aid. The project will be implemented in Balakliia and Chuhuiv hromada until March 2024.

Small family farms that keep the cattle or cultivate the land will each receive $800 of fund money. Certain criteria will guide the selection of the participants in the funding program.

“That household will not necessarily have to have the official status of a sole proprietor or juridical person who’s involved in agriculture. So, the simple Ukrainian families who keep cattle or cultivate the land can be engaged in the project,” noted the deputy director of the Department of Economics and International Relations in the Kharkiv region military administration, Olha Shamaieva
