Ukrainian IT specialists created Dober – the first secure messenger, which in the future can be used by the military. Dmytro Oberemok, the founder of the startup, told Ukrinform about the project.
According to Oberemok, the information exchange takes place on a separate server using end-to-end encryption technologies (E2EE). The method prevents third parties from accessing data while it’s transferred from one end system or device to another. The user can register in the application anonymously and delete any personal information from the system. The messenger is not connected to an email or phone number, Dober provides an account and the server password.
The application requires Internet access. The developer believes the server can be located in a military unit or a secret safe place.
According to Oberemok, the project has already been approved by white hat hackers from Estonia regarding the operation stability and protection level.
Dober application offers two versions, corporate and public. The corporate allows to get a personal server and control its location and user access.
Currently, the version for Apple smartphones is being completed, the software part of which is almost ready. The application is already available on Google Play.
Earlier this week, the Ukrainian technological ecosystem was presented at the startup conference TechCrunch Disrupt for the first time.
