KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan 29 — Canada will help to restore the Blyzniuky and Balakliia communities in Kharkiv Oblast, reported the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
The project aims to support communities in sustainable, inclusive, social, and economic recovery. Nineteen communities of Ukraine are participating in the initiative.
“The Initiative’s experts will provide the selected communities with expert support in the following areas: strategic management and planning, establishing partnerships with international organisations and attracting external investment, developing social services, supporting the development of recovery and development plans and strategies, implementing sustainable development principles, etc.” the Ministry said.

More than 300 communities in 11 war-affected oblasts of Ukraine expressed a desire to participate in the project. The communities were divided into six groups based on geographical proximity to each other and common needs.
