Russian troops have been building fortifications on the Russian side of the border but decided to get to Ukrainian territory and build defensive structures there.
Intelligence of the Steel Border brigade uncovered Russian attempts to build up defenses in the Kupiansk direction on Ukrainian territory and pushed them beyond the state border, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.
“Building up a line of fortifications on the Russian side [of the border], the occupiers got on Ukrainian territory and began constructing defensive structures there. When the number of fortifications reached a dozen, border guards and the tank troops of the AFU pushed the adversary beyond the state border,” they explained.
Snipers have killed several Russians, and tank and mortar fire reached those trying to run.
