KHARKIV, UKRAINE, JAN 11 — At about 10:30 p.m. on January 10, two explosions occurred in Kharkiv. Both missiles hit a hotel in the city center.
One of the rockets hit the hotel near the fence, and the other hit a side annex, said Volodymyr Tymoshko, head of Kharkiv regional police
As of now, there is information about 11 victims, including a journalist from Georgia, according to Volodymyr Tymoshko.
Among the injured, one person has severe injuries, one has moderate injuries, and the majority has light injuries. According to Viktor Zabashta, director of the regional emergency medical center, the injured mostly suffered from head injuries and acute stress reaction.
At the time of the Russian attack, there were 30 people in the hotel, including seven staff members and 23 guests.
“There were no military mercenaries, no military here. This is a civilian facility, a civilian infrastructure. This is where we have always accommodated our friends, guests who were in Kharkiv, foreign delegations,” said Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv.
