UKRAINE, JAN 10 — 872 cultural heritage objects were damaged or destroyed in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to December 25, 2023. 

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reported these numbers. 

Kharkiv Oblast endured the most damage to cultural heritage objects: 216 of them are damaged or completely destroyed here. Among them, 181 objects are in the Kharkiv district, 14 in the Izium and Chuhuiv districts, four in Bohoduhiv, two in Krasnohrad, and one in the Lozova districts. 

Ten of these heritage objects have national significance, 202 have local significance, and four have been discovered recently.

Overall, 23 cultural heritage monuments were completely destroyed in Ukraine; another 672 were partially damaged. The degree of damage sustained by another 177 objects remains unknown.
