UKRAINE, Nov 4 – During the week of October 28-November 3, the Russian army attacked various regions of Ukraine, using more than 900 glide bombs (KABs), said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Russia often uses modified glide bombs (KABs) to attack Ukraine, hitting civilian and critical infrastructure. Russia utilizes them as a cheaper but nevertheless destructive alternative to cruise and ballistic missiles.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russians also used about 30 missiles and almost 500 drones to attack Ukraine.
He noted that most of these attacks targeted civilian facilities and critical infrastructure.
“And not just most, but all of these strikes would not have been possible if we had sufficient support from the world in obvious things. In long-range missile defense for security [purposes]. In truly effective sanctions that would not allow Russia to import critical components for producing drones and missiles, including microelectronics,” Zelenskyy said.
President Zelenskyy also added that over the past day alone, Russia has used more than 50 attack drones in Ukraine.
On November 1, the Kharkiv City Council reported that during October, the Russian army attack Kharkiv 25 times with various types of weapons. Russian air strikes on Kharkiv during the last month killed nine people, including two children, and injured 130 people, including five children.
