KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Feb 21 — The soldiers of the Stalevyi Cordon [Steel Border – ed.] border guard detachment, currently stationed on the border of the Kharkiv region, received 100 FPV drones and three Mavic 3 drones from volunteers. The military also received a video surveillance system for the area.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported this on Telegram.
Last night, on 21 February, the brigade’s soldiers destroyed two Russian Shahed drones in the Kharkiv region that were moving towards Kharkiv.
FPV drones are unmanned aerial vehicles that transmit real-time video from an on-board camera mounted in the direction of flight. The pilot wears the special goggles and watches the flight as if they were inside.
