UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 13 — Since the beginning of the summer, soldiers of the CODE 9.2 special unit of the 92nd Separate Special Brigade named after military leader Ivan Sirko have destroyed more than 1,100 targets of the Russian army, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Russian forces deploy a wide range of military equipment against the Ukrainian army, including tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and howitzers.

According to the report, thanks to the Vampire unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) [a type of drone that provides real-time intelligence and coordinates artillery or air strikes of Ukrainian manufacture — ed.], the Ukrainian military destroyed 79 howitzers, 18 armored vehicles, 13 tanks, and 13 self-propelled artillery systems, and others. Overall, Vampire drone strikes destroyed over 240 units of military equipment.

Syniehubov says the 92 brigade also hit 21 infrastructure facilities that the Russians used to conduct military operations. Losing them cost the Russian Federation $68 million.

In addition, the governor reports, Ukraine destroyed two Russian tanks over the past few days.

The CODE 9.2 Special Forces received a batch of 10 Ukrainian Vampire drones as part of the new Kharkiv Wings project, implemented jointly with the Kharkiv Regional Council. The drones were transferred to strengthen the platoon of attack drones. The drones have thermal imagers and are capable of carrying various types of shells to destroy heavy equipment, including tanks, during the day- and nighttime.
