The tactics of Russian troops partly depend on the weather: in rough conditions, they conduct fewer assaults, Ivan Shevtsov, assistant chief of the 15th mobile border guard detachment Stalevyi Kordon (eng – Steel Frontier), told to Suspilne Sprotyv.
He also noted that on November 27, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces positions three times in Kupyansk.
“The situation in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction is consistently tense. The Defense Forces and the State Border Guard Service are holding the line. Over the past day, 238 artillery attacks on our positions took place in this area,” Shevtsov said.
Russian troops plan to reach the Oskil River’s left bank and capture Kupyansk and Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi.
“The adversary is changing its tactics, perhaps bringing in ammunition or amassing forces to carry out more attacks in the coming days,” added the assistant chief.
