Ukrainian-made unmanned combat aerial vehicle can cover a distance of up to 7 kilometers and carry a load weighing up to 10 kilograms, according to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Purchase of the UAV for the units of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after all eight communities of Kupyansk district jointly funded Ataman Ivan Sirko.

“The cost of such a ‘bird’ is almost a million hryvnias [$27,700 – ed.]. Soon, another similar UAV will be delivered to our defenders, and military operators are currently undergoing appropriate training on operating the equipment,” said Andriy Besedin, head of the Kupyansk city military administration.

Technical specifications of the Shulika attack drone

Flight altitude: 150-500 metres;
Payload: 6-8 kg;
Armament: cumulative charges;
Operational range: 5-7 km with ammunition.

In an interview with Skepa.media, engineer Pavlo Medvid spoke about the three most powerful characteristics of this drone:

  • Stable communication that resists three effects of electronic warfare. The drone has good video, which is almost impossible to overwhelm with EW;
  • A drop system that allows for alternate and accurate drops from a height;
  • An automatic return system in case there are satellites. The pilot does not need to guide the drone back and knows the shortest trajectory to return.

AFU fighters received more than 900 drones from Ukrainian manufacturers. UAVs will investigate Russian positions behind enemy lines, damage military equipment, personnel, control centers, and conduct various other attacks on the Russian army.

Kozak armoured vehicles were handed over to Kharkiv region’s special forces. The armored vehicles are mine-proof and equipped with a machine gun. The cars are not the first to be used by the assault troops, as a similar vehicle was delivered to them in June 2023.
