UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Dec 13 – At 1:43 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle in the Industrialnyi district of Kharkiv, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.
The Russian army has been often attacking Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, since the start of the full-scale invasion — the city is close to the border and the frontline. Russians use various weapons like glide bombs, strike drones, and missiles to target civilian and critical infrastructure.
Syniehubov said that the debris damaged the roof of the apartment building, window glazing, and a balcony. No one was injured in the attack.
In addition, on the afternoon of December 12, Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed a Russian drone between the villages of Kupievakha and Hubarivka in Bohodukhiv district.
