UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 20 — Russians continue to strike Kozacha Lopan with FPV drones. Today, the Russian attack injured a representative of the Derhachi City Council, Oleksandr Kulik, a spokesman for the Derhachi City Council, reported Gwara Media.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

According to Kulik, a city council employee sustained an arm injury when he tried to help another victim, who died soon afterward as a result of his injuries.

“He tried to help the injured driver of the car but was injured himself. Soon, an ambulance arrived for them. Unfortunately, the driver could not be saved,” said Oleksandr Kulik.

Kozacha Lopan is a settlement located to the northwest of Kharkiv Oblast, two kilometers away from the border with Russia.

The city council employee’s life is not in danger, he received medical assistance, and now he is at home, Kulik said.

Also, the Russian drone attack injured another person, but he refused medical assistance.

Kulik said that overall, Russian attacks have intensified in the village over the past four days. The Russians are actively attacking with tanks, artillery, anti-aircraft guns, and drones. During this time alone, the Russians have damaged more than 20 houses and recently killed a woman.
