UKRAINE, KUPIANSK, Oct 24 — Russians dropped a bomb on Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, killing one woman and injuring 10 people, reported Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s Office. 

During the summer of 2024, Russian troops began to advance further within the southeastern section of the Kupiansk direction in the Kharkiv region, trying to push to the Oskil River and move to seize Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, important logistical hubs for the region. Fighting is currently taking place there, and evacuation of residents is underway.

Russian ODAB-1500 bomb [a volumetric-detonating aviation bomb weighing 1500 kg — ed.] hit near a store and a local market, according to the preliminary assessment from the local law enforcement. 

The attack partially destroyed a two-story commercial building and damaged 12 trade kiosks and windows of non-residential buildings. 

On October 23, the Russian army attacked eight settlements in the Kharkiv region, injuring four people and killing one civilian.

  • On the evening of October 20, around 10:00 p.m., Russian troops launched airstrikes on the city of Kharkiv, injuring at least 13, including a child and a pregnant woman. The strikes cut off power to part of the city.
