UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 22 — At night, Russians attacked Hetmanivka in the Kupiansk district, injuring a woman. The attack caused a non-residential building and at least four residential buildings to catch fire, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

On the same night, another Russian attack on Hetmanivka injured a 43-year-old man, causing houses and social infrastructure to catch fire.

The Russian army also attacked the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region with artillery, hitting a building of the village council and trapping three people under the rubble.

Oleh Syniehubov reported that rescuers pulled one woman out of the rubble. She had light injuries.

Also tonight, Russian troops shelled Odradne village in the Kupiansk district twice. Massive missile attacks and a Shahed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) damaged the building of the agricultural lyceum. The village council building was on fire after the second series of attacks.

Oleh Syniehubov said that over the past day, Russian troops used four Kh-35 missiles, seven FPV drones, and one Iskander against the civilian infrastructure of the Kharkiv region.
